About

Keep active, keep dancing, keep fit just about sums me up!

At a young age, I visited my local ice rink on a school trip, deciding right then that I wanted to be a figure skater and persuaded my parents that ice skating before school each day was only way to achieve this.  After years of competitive skating and examinations, I boldly announced that I was packing my suitcase to go on tour for a year, as a chorus skater with ‘Holiday on Ice’.  Twelve years later, after travelling the world, I hung up my ice skates, finally unpacked my case and retired from being a professional ice skater!

Never one to sit still for very long, I joined the gym, jogged and attended dance classes (along with any opportunity to do a bit of kitchen dancing of course) when it became obvious to me that I could be involved with exercise and my love of moving to music well into my later years, so why shouldn’t I encourage others to do the same…

So my fitness career took off when I qualified as a Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor, followed by becoming a FitSteps and DDMIX Instructor and my interest in keeping Older Adults active, I gained further Instructor qualifications in Strength & Balance, OTAGO, Move it or Lose it! and FABS.  I am assessed on an annual basis and regularly attend refresher training and CPD training courses to further enhance my qualifications.

Since moving to Cambridgeshire a few years ago, I have built up a timetable of classes with a wonderful, friendly and loyal following.  In the five years I have been teaching local classes I am proud to say, I have many original members attending regularly, indeed many who attend more than one of my classes each week and I’m grateful of their loyalty and commitment to keeping active. Perhaps read what they have to say on my Testimonials page and if you like what you see, come and give it a try – you have nothing to lose and so much to gain!

Keep active, keep dancing, keep fit…
